GTA Sheffield Released!

Well it's been a long time coming but GTA: Sheffield is finally out.

James Porkin's life sucks. He works at a crummy little supermarket, he lives alone and his car hardly works. He dreams of a life with more excitement.

He probably didn't want a life full of guns, football hooligans, drugs and severed body parts. Oh well!

Join James as he struggles to be a crime lord's right hand man AND still stay on the right side of the law in this GTA style top-down driving RPG.

I just hope people like it. My last GTA style game, GTA Doncaster went down quite well, and this is far better, so I'm hoping for the best! Play it now, and remember to vote 5 out of 5!

Torturomatic 3

With work nearly complete on GTA:Sheffield, it seemed logical to close off the award winning* Tortur-o-matic series with the final part of the triolgy! For those who haven't played the award winning* original games, Tortur-o-matic and Tortur-o-matic 2: Labrynth can be found here! They both won awards*.

The games are set in an over populated world, where criminals are fed into trap filled mazes to the delight of a paying crowd. The first award winning* game was all on one screen, and had about 25 traps. The second had 3 screens, won an award* and had about 70 traps. Number three should have nearly 100 upgradable traps. It also boasts health upgrades, zoom levels and an infinite health mode.

But thats it for now, I've only drawn the map really, it's not even got traps added yet, so don't expect too much. Apart from awards* when it's released next year!

Dave is the shadowy figure in charge of pretty much the whole of Sheffield. If it makes money, you can guarantee Dave will have a hand in it. He specialises in construction, and is responsible for Sheffield's continuous regeneration and economical growth. He is also responsible for any gang violence, football related violence hell, probably most violence in the whole city.

Usually he runs the city from the background, delegating to his right hand man 'Dom Violence'. But now he's been frequently seen in the open which can only mean trouble for the Steel City...

James is the unlikely protagonist of GTA:Sheffield. Raised in a singe parent household, he moved to Sheffield at 18 for a fresh start. However after 7 years working a minimum wage job at Tesco, all he has to look forward to are occasional trips back to his mother's house back in nearby Doncaster. He wishes for a more exciting life, one that doesn't involve driving between checkpoints delivering bread and eggs to elderly Yorkshiremen.

A chance encounter with £100,000 worth of coke, a severed head and a knife point mugging might just change everything... So long as he can avoid being arrested, killed, kidnapped, blown up, stabbed shot or run over...

Hi there, it's been over a year since my last post, oh well! Thought i'd post now with a few new screens, bit of extra info etc.

The first screen is the main character, James Porkins waking up ready for another hard day working at Tesco.

The second is Porkins squaring up to the main enemy in the game, and the final screen is a shot of the last mission of part one. The last mission is all done now, but there's a lot of artwork to be done before realease!

Sup! Working on a few mission ideas now the map is done. Here's a screenshot to whet the appitite of any COD/general military fans!

Take to the skies in an AC-130 gunship and reign death to all who stand in your way! This is just one of the many vehicles that will be available in the final release, but is probably the most fun! With a 40mm cannon and 105mm Howitzer artillery launcher, the Spectre is one hell of a plane, and it's your job to be both pilot AND gunner, and take down RPG nests, armoured trucks and more! Quick post just to say that the whole map for GTA: Sheffield is now finished. Take a look at the above screenshot! It's pretty big, and hopefully won't lag... Too much... It's not really recognisable as Sheffield, there's alot of artistic licence, but it's varied enough to be interesting (IMO).

Just missions to add now. Oh and sound. And the videos etc. And testing. And added details ie. road markings and streetlights etc. But apart from that lot... Nearly done!

'Sup!

This is the first post to this blog, and is pretty pointless, 'cos I don't expect anyone to read it... yet. Anyway this is where you'll find news, screenshots and (hopefully positive) reviews on any games I, JoeKangaroo Productions, erm... produce.

Right now, I'm working on the long awaited (believe it or not) sequel to the horrifically slated "GTA: Doncaster" released back in 2005-ish.

The original was awful, as you can see from the attached screenshot, but hopefully the sequel won't be. I've improved (I hope) since then, and hopefully that will be apparent from the screens too!

Thats it for now anyway! Hopefully this blog will get more publicity once the game is released, and then I won't be wasting my time!
